Located across from the Hollywood 11 theaters on Main Street in downtown Sarasota, Mysterium offers unique live Escape Rooms, Virtual Reality Gaming, and a chill lounge atmosphere including retro arcade machines to enjoy a drink and a snack, and have a fun time with friends.
New Year, New Name! As of January 1, 2022, Escape Reality Downtown is changing its name to Mysterium Escape Rooms and VR. The Confounders of Escape Reality, Suzan and Michael opened their first location in August of 2016, and the downtown location followed in March of 2019, originally focusing on VR experiences including VR Escape Rooms. Due to Covid pressures in mid 2020, they decided to sell the original location on Lockwood Ridge and kept the store downtown, really focusing on developing new Escape Rooms. After seeing the confusion of the two locations with similar names, they have decided to change the name of the store to Mysterium!
May we offer a huge thank you to all of the fans of both of the Escape Reality locations that we’ve made over the years! Mysterium is going to continue to offer what Escape Reality has always been known for – an incredibly fun environment to join with your closest friends, family, and co-workers and experience the most immersive entertainment Sarasota has to offer!
